Company history

Erin DiCarlo founded Dovetail Companies in 2017, driven by a desire to simplify the daunting process of senior living transitions. Her inspiration stems from childhood memories spent with her grandparents, Nanny and Da, whose strong family values provided solace and guidance.

In 2019, Lauren Watts joined as Co-Owner and Vice President, aligning with Erin's commitment to supporting older adults. Together, known affectionately as "The Senior Soul Sisters," they share a vision of guiding seniors toward thriving in their next chapter.

The biblical story of Noah's dove, represented in “Dovetail,”  symbolizing hope and guidance, resonates deeply with Erin and Lauren. Just as the dove returned with an olive leaf, signaling safety and a path forward, Dovetail aims to provide reassurance and clarity amidst uncertainty.

Through strategic growth, Dovetail expanded its services to provide comprehensive support, including assisting older adults in finding suitable living arrangements, senior and specialty move management, real estate services, aging in place, estate management, and supporting families during and after the loss of a loved one. Regardless of the client’s need, Dovetail supports older adults fostering independence and quality of life wherever “home” may be.

At the core of Dovetail's mission is the commitment to changing and supporting the way we view aging in America. Erin and Lauren are dedicated to challenging stereotypes and promoting a positive outlook on aging, emphasizing the potential for growth, fulfillment, and joy in later life.

With a heart-led approach and expertise, they built a team of experts to meet each client's needs, providing support and relief during life's biggest transitions. Erin and Lauren hold multiple certifications, including Certified Senior Advisor^®, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Care Manager-Certified^®, Senior and Specialty Move Manager-Certified, REALTOR^®, Seniors Real Estate Specialist^®, and Seller Representative Specialist.
